Capco Operation

CAPCO Command Center at Lyon Mont-Verdun Air Base

Inaugurated in June 2021, the CAPCO (Air Centre for Planning and Conduct of Operations) Command Center spans a remarkable 200 m² at the Lyon Mont-Verdun air base. Dominating the space is an impressive video wall, measuring 19m x 4m, comprised of 16 x 4 tiles, ensuring clear visibility from every vantage point. Around 40 military operators actively feed this display with tactical and real-time information from their stations, providing a comprehensive overview of the air operations theater. This state-of-the-art facility currently showcases an ongoing military exercise, underscoring the prowess of the French Air- and Space Force. Notably, they have assumed command of the air component for NATO's rapid reaction force throughout 2022.

The CNOA (Centre National des Opérations Aériennes) serves as the nerve center for France's aerial surveillance, meticulously processing data transmitted from the three military detection and control centers (CDCs) responsible for monitoring French airspace. NATO Exercise Cold Response 2022

During the rigorous and expansive Cold Response 2022 exercise, SENTRY's deployable systems were instrumental in fortifying NATO and partner nations' ability to operate cohesively amidst the challenging Arctic conditions of Norway. Ensuring secure and efficient communication across diverse terrains, both on land and at sea, SENTRY's renowned hardware-centric solutions adeptly catered to the needs of the makeshift command centers, facilitating seamless information flow and real-time data sharing. As around 30,000 troops from 27 countries convened to bolster their cold-weather operational capabilities, SENTRY stood as a testament to the precision and security necessary for such large-scale, multifaceted exercises.
